Seems like a decent argument in favour of an upgrade. Maybe it's worth 
bringing up the idea on https://wiki.osm.org/Talk:Wiki as well so more 
of the active wiki editors see it?

If there is some favorable reception, I guess a next step could be to 
check with LWG for any potential issues and downsides.
