Hm, I'm a big fan of match-only because I think of it as the perfect
compromise between site increase due to hstore usage and the handy feature
of keeping all relevant data for rendering special features in the database.

However, using match-only with the default.style is pointless because one
would IMO barely need hstore in this case at all.

I would really like to see a database with this style in comparison to the
ones you already did.

On the german tileserver I'm using the style available at:
http://svn.openstreetmap.org/applications/rendering/mapnik-german/views/default.style

This style is capable of rendering an unmodified standard mapnik style using
views (simulationg columns via hstore) and is capable of doing some special
stuff like rendering castles (normal and ruined) in our german map style due
to the hstore column.
