My command is:

    osm2pgsql --slim -C 20000 --number-processes 7 planet-141029.osm.bz2

Ubunutu 14.04 LTS:

     3.13.0-36-generic #63-Ubuntu SMP Wed Sep 3 21:30:07 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

8 CPUs, 24 GB of RAM:

`KiB Mem: 24109800 total, 23885136 used, 224664 free, 23424 buffers
KiB Swap: 49148 total, 11648 used, 37500 free. 23035052 cached Mem`

Plenty of open disk space (640 GB root disk):

`Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/vda1 630G 287G 318G 48% /
none 4.0K 0 4.0K 0% /sys/fs/cgroup
udev 12G 12K 12G 1% /dev
tmpfs 2.3G 388K 2.3G 1% /run
none 5.0M 0 5.0M 0% /run/lock
none 12G 0 12G 0% /run/shm
none 100M 0 100M 0% /run/user
/dev/vdc1 985G 40G 895G 5% /map-data`

The output:

`
Going over pending ways...
Killed`

I've verified the planet data with md5. I didn't kill the process as this was run inside of a tmux session and kept running over a few days. There doesn't appear to be any error output. How can I figure out what happened here?
