Although not related, you should never be doing a full planet import with bzipped xml instead of PBF, and you probably want to use --flat-nodes as well

The OOM killer has killed osm2pgsql. This is likely because osm2pgsql uses overcommit. You can adjust overcommit temporarily with `sudo sysctl -w vm.overcommit_memory=1`
