@Komzpa I have pushed a fix in #1541. Can you check whether this fixes the problem?

@mboeringa This bug only appears when the RAM cache is used and has more than something like 1 billion entries, so only for very large extracts or the planet file (and very large `--cache` settings when in slim mode).
