Yes. I have many servers with `osm2pgsql`, and they have 1→2 TB of NVMe space. Without this, I was often struggling with keeping the (growing) size of the index under control.

I have not fully measured the import time or the update time, but there is no noticable extra time needed. Switching to lua transforms for osm-carto causes more of an update delay.
