Apparently not according to other posts here recently, but I think
it's great as areas without too many errors are easier to
navigate. Also at high zoom levels it's easier to know exactly where
something is when the full map is displayed rather than just a few
grey lines.

What do you mean with halfway populated? And whan is it you find to
drown in the base map? I find every maplint color to contrast quite
starkly against the normal map.
I think we might want to look at how things are displayed, especially
the width of the maplint lines. Perhaps maplint could try to mainly
add borders around ways with the inside being transparent?

I have yet to see an areas where I don't like it, could you give me an
example?
