Hey folks,
because I've got many reactions on my postings,
I'll try to summarize my answeres here.
@All Windows Users:
I have set up a Wiki page under
"De:WindowsClient at Home".
I must apologize, it's
written in german, but as I see many
german users in this group, someone might
translate it one day.
Please help me keep it running and up to date.
- Thanks -
@Aerics:
Here's my real Emil: cmindividual[AT]gmx[DOT]de
so we could discuss our private Windows problems before posting.
@Avarab:
(Sorry, your real name is not readable on my comp):
I have to accept the fact that tah is written in
Perl and not for example in Java which for my taste
would have been a better cross platform approach.
Merging an SVN branch back to the trunk is indeed a big
effort. But this is not really necessary.
You just have to make sure that when a trunk has
a milestone state under Linux, windows users like me
can test it. If it's ok, it becomes the maintenance branch
or call it release-branch. It's really just a copy in SVN.
It costs 1 minute! In the meantime the branch is locked
and only reopened if there is a major error.
@Frederik
Of course I've read your book. And one big thing about
all this tah stuff is that everyone has different interests
and If he or she is fit enough could help one day.
This is no misconception!
I don't think it is worth, kicking out small renderers
and just maintain the big ones or neglect all those
Windows users out there. Or should this end up in an
exclusive club here?
Regards
Carsten
