Please, if you're having problems under windows don't just discuss it
privately. If there are problems under wndows there is absolutly no
way they're going to get fixed if the people here don't know about
them.

The number of Unix machines with java installed is less than the
number with perl installed. Sorry. Perl is standard, Java isn't.

So do it. Only windows users can say whether it's working so only
windows users can make the decision and do the copy. SVN is open,
anyone can get an account and do it. Please make it happen and don't
wait for someone else to do it.

It's not neglect, we just can't help you in the way you think. Windows
is so different from any unix-based platform. We know what POSIX is
and any POSIX compliant system will run t at h no problems. Windows is
not POSIX compliant and so needs special fixes only known by people
running windows. So we need people like you telling us the problems
and how to fix them.
