You don't.

I hope you are aware that this breaks the update mechanism for this file.

If it hangs at this point it's not due to maplint, but rather due to an 
overloaded OSM API.

That's bad, you're missing some announcements, and tips about maplint 
with xslt troubles and how it could be circumvented by setting 
Osmarender=orp in tilesAtHome.conf
