Sometimes this is a little dangerous - i had it a couple of times that
this caused the client to die because there were local changes and the
svn changes failed to integrate which caused bogus >>>> and <<<<
markers to be inserted into perl scripts which obviously caused them to
fail on restart.
So an update would be okay if the tree is unmodified :)
