[Tilesathome] Self-updating client while running?

Everything user-modifiable is kept out of svn control (in case of 
windows clients this is less than perfect, but since there are no 
windows devs around that is unlikely to change much)
So it should be no problem running a custom configured client while at 
the same be update-safe.
