[Tilesathome] Ways through tiles, but no nodes

I've noticed that there is a shipping route for the ferry from Harwich-ish to follow the European E30 route, and on the Osmarender layer it just seems to end. I tried rerendering the next tile along the route but it renders as empty. I switched to Potlatch to look at the data and the way only has nodes where it changes direction, and these are quite a fair distance apart in most cases.
