[Tilesathome] Windows client having problems with blank land tiles

It might not help you trace the problem, as my Windows client has
been updated to a newer Perl version (5.10), so perhaps isn't the
standard Windows client, but if I run with 
--Debug=1 xy 1476 2253 12
as the parameter I get this in the console window:

I'm not sure how you got the output you quote or where. 

This looks OK to me. The Line 658 in close-areas.pl on the version
here is:
