Ah OK thanks. I guess someone will point this out to me on OSMtalk
as well. I've tried ticking the Maplint box in the past and not seen
any differences, but then the Export tab never worked on this
machine and that seems to work as well today. It looks quite useful
for checking areas, so I'm glad I now know about it.

Wolverhampton is in a sorry state anyway (map-wise; they're doing
quite well in the football). I was visiting family there at the
weekend and after showing dad my GPS device he wants one for
Christmas, so perhaps he'll get as hooked as I have been - though I
think he is more interested in tracking his walks in the country and
viewing them on Google maps as kml files). The reason I was looking
at Wolverhampton is when I was new I changed a road that I knew was
wrong as it had been shown as going straight through a shopping
centre (which it doesn't), but when there at the weekend I drove
through the offending junction and notice it *is* part of a cycle
route (which I didn't survey sufficiently to see if cyclists need to
dismount as they pass through the shopping centre), and was checking
I hadn't messed anything up which may have been defined in a
relation somewhere. It seems that particular cycle route isn't on
yet.

Anyway, now I know how to view this validation information I'll tidy
up a bit around where I live and generally survey (Clacton).

All the best

Ed
