Is it the default layer? I thought it was 1/4 of the tiles on the
default layer, with the other 3/4 coming from the other servers that are
selectable as layers. I'm wondering if it is time to move to this scheme
on the OSM home page's osmarender layer.

With the Mapnik layer it's probably more efficient to generate it in two
places than to cache the results of generating it in one.
We should make a mapnik layer that uses the telascience tilecache tiles
for half the tiles (as used by labs.metacarta.com), and the tiles.osm
tiles for the other half.
