What do you mean by "merge the data themselves"? I can take a stab at
it for Orange County, (but not for another two weeks at the earliest),
but I am not the "owner" of the existing data, and do not want to step
on any toes here.
I would assume the process would be something like:
1 Convert the OC TIGER data to OSM using the latest version of the
excellent conversion script
2 Download the current OSM OC data using JOSM
3 Load up the OC GPS data I have into JOSM (to correct the TIGER data)
4 Map away, and merge everything into one coherent layer
5 Upload via JOSM when done.
Right?
