[Gsoc-orga] GSOC 2023 Potential Contributor + Project

Hello!

I am Lucas Otanez, a computer science undergraduate student at the
University of Southern California. I am interested in what OpenStreetMap is
working on currently, and would potentially like to have an opportunity to
contribute to the project through Google's Summer of Code program this
summer.

I am specifically interested in two projects listed on the OSM ideas page.
The first is the "Landmark based navigation" and the second is "OSRM Python
bindings". I definitely want to work on a project that involves C++, as I
am most experienced in all things regarding C++ and would be able to
contribute most valuably to such projects.

If these projects would be helpful, let me know, and if there is anything
else I should know about either project, also let me know. Also, if you are
able to provide an answer or estimate: how likely is it that I would be
accepted as a GSOC contributor for one of these projects?
