I've been using the "gps logger iblue 747" (basic version, not the
"plus" one) for years.

It can hold days of tracking at 1 second increment, and the battery
lasts 12+ hours.

In addition it is dead simmple to extract the GPX and to charge up
again using a USB mini power cord.
