Heather,
Thanks, I was already aware of it, in fact, we use their KMLs at
http://sos.openstreetmap.org.ar
I figure 4 main tasks
- Mapping the flood reach for reference in OSM
- Mapping alerts ( inundaciones2abril )
- Mapping La Plata infrastructure in OSM
- Providing OSM cartography to the entities that need it.
I did not contact the guys from inundaciones2abril, but I should, so an
introduction would be nice.
I can help them to switch to OSM.
You can invite them to the local SotM (http://sotm.openstreetmap.org.ar)
where Séverin will be talking about HOT. We can use the mapathon to work
over La Plata (the SotM -April 27th- is free of charge, sadly the FOSS4G
is not).
Thanks again to all,
Fernando.
