Hello hotties,

With the onset of the Google Summer of Code and the Outreachy program, we
are reaching out to the community to propose project ideas. Most of you
probably know about the programs, but for those of you that don't, here is
a little information:

*'Google Summer of Code (GSoC) is a global program that offers students
stipends to write code for open source projects. Who have worked with the
open source community to identify and fund exciting projects for the
upcoming summer.' *[1]

'Outreachy is a program that aims to help people from groups
underrepresented in free and open source software get involved. Providing a
supportive community for beginning to contribute any time throughout the
year and offer focused internship opportunities twice a year with a number
of free software organizations. *The upcoming round of internships is open
to women (cis and trans), trans men and genderqueer people, and all
participants of the Ascend Project regardless of gender '. *[2]

HOT would like to participate as a free and open source software
organisation that will offer internships to both the GSoC [3] and Outreachy
[4] program. And in light of all the project ideas being proposed, HOT has
decided to create a HOT-Project-Ideas GitHub repository [5] where this can
be done, while ensuring that the workflow is organised, structured and

A GitHub wiki page for GSoC [6] and Outreachy [7] have been created,
containing information on how to propose ideas, while the ideas themselves
are listed and can be discussed as issues [8]. So please keep contributing
to project ideas at the new GitHub repository.

Kind regards,
