  The new code base is looking good.

   I'm not sure I followed the right procedure, but there is a new exception 
bug in today's josm-latest 2542; I attached to ticket 
http://josm.openstreetmap.de/ticket/3838 .  It doesn't appear to lose data 
though.

   My feeling is that the double selection bug #3838 will result in 
unexpected modifications for most people - I run into that all the time and 
need to remember to de-select the previous node manually before modifying a 
new node.   However, this might be late in the game if that is a major fix 
for a bug which does not lose data.
