[OSM-newbies] How to map a place that allows to cross a waterway=stream

Both those definitions of ford use the key word "shallow". Now read the 
original question:

"there is no bridge or ford or anything else that would ease crossing 
the stream. It's just a place without bushes and trees and the stream is 
relatively small so crossing is easier."

Doesn't mention shallow anywhere. If a crossing place isn't shallow 
relative to the rest of the stream it isn't a ford.
