[OSM-newbies] Dictaphone / MD recorder / MP3 recorder

I could not find any recommendations for suitable hardware for recording (with synchronisation) 
voice messages for use with my Garmin 60CSx.
It would certainly be easier than using my camera.
Anybody got any pertinent recommendations. 
As I don't have any experience (yet) what I need to know
is what is the most practical hardware to use?
Obviously some equipment available is junk:
I know that but right now I cannot separate the junk from the usable stuff.




Got any ideas
