The "Editing Standards and Conventions" page in the Wiki (at
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Editing_Standards_and_Conventions)
says
"If the bridge can be represented as a node (say a small footbridge over a
stream), then it would be tagged highway=bridge"
as an alternative to tagging a way with "bridge=(true|yes)"

Is this still correct?

My impression is that the renderers don't now do anything usefull with
"highway=bridge".

The "Editing Standards and Conventions" page is tagged "{{OutOfDate}}" -
is this one of the out-of-date sections?
