[OSM-newbies] JOSM and segment lengths

JOSM's measurement plugin will tell you the length of the selected way. 
So split the way at nodes to break it into the pieces you need and 
compare and then selecting each one in turn will display the length. Use 
the undo to remove the breaks again.
