[OSM-newbies] pedestrian or footway?

Given your criterion--less than 3
meters, and thanks for that, by the way--they
would, indeed, be footways. They are not more
than 10 feet across, if that. Outlining them as
an area, like I did for the Santa Monica
Promenade, would be beyond my ability to steady
my hand. Sounds like it's "footways" then.
