One point that hasn't been named yet: tracks are also not all the same. If one tags the 'big' tracks as tracktype=grade1, and the 'small' ones as tracktype=grade3 (or grade2), they will also be rendered differently in Mapnik, although I think the same is not the case in most other renderers. -- André Engels, andreengels at gmail.com
