Use JOSM's imagery feature, pointed at your WMS server, to give you a 
background layer with your data. Alternatively, convert your error points 
from your database to OSM XML format and load that as a layer in JOSM. You 
can toggle between layers, merge then delete them, etc. in JOSM.
