[Osmf-talk] Too few people doing too many things

I'd like to reinforce what Matt and Mike and Harry have mentioned
previously. Having more volunteers in the Working Groups will make
those groups function more effectively. Effective, efficient Working
Groups serve us, the membership, and the broader OpenStreetMap
community better than do inefficient Working Groups.

Mike has indicated the LWG and MT both need a boost. The board
minutes tell us that a new Working Group will be created to address
membership services. It appears that the SotM group needs help. We
can do all of this. You can be part of the solution and it doesn't
have to be an onerous commitment.

I published a first draft of an article about how to get involved in
the Working Groups earlier today.

A short while after, Jono Bacon sent this tweet that seems perfect for
the OpenStreetMap context. [1]

And I followed up with another article. http://weait.com/on-ramp

I hope that you will find the articles a helpful starting point, and
that you will contribute to improving them via the comments, via
discussion here, or in other ways that suit you.
