I think you're greatly over-estimating what the OSMF board is in command
*of*. We can command a more diverse membership to appear all we want,
but I doubt it would change much.

Frankly I would be thrilled to be able to vote for a good candidate who
is older than 65, or female, or from a "(sub)continent", or all three of
them, and I would very likely give them my vote even if there were no
place reserved exclusively for them.

Of course, I have certain personal requirements for a "good" candidate -
for example, I'd never vote someone in who has no OSM experience just
because they tick a box. And frankly, if they *are* any good, they would
abhor being selected for their age, gender, or origin.

Trust me when I say: Even if the board were comprised exclusively of
people over 65, this would be extremely unlikely to make a difference.
The OSMF board is not the right place to impress your special interests
upon the project.
