All,
This was something that the OSMF Board was quick to reach agreement on at
our F2F. To some degree, I would like to ask you to trust the board that we
understand our own workload and availability, as well as what we would be
able to accomplish be if we had paid support.
Anyway, what really upsets me when reading your mail: Every member

This is a fantastic example of why we need support staff. All of us on the
board are doing so in a volunteer capacity. That makes getting to
administrative tasks (like following up and communicating our status and
progress) difficult to do in a timely manner. One of the first things that
the membership will likely see as a result of this hire will be increased
visibility into our work. The next will be an increased scope of work we're
able to accomplish, as we will be freed up to focus on higher level goals.
Thanks,
Kathleen
