I think it's probably a mixed bag. The bit I mentioned in the other
email about the insurance - it is something that I "should" be doing
and that is "workload on my shoulders" but I am not doing it at the
moment. So in a way it is also a "shopping list". And I know that
other board members have similar things that they should be doing but
get dropped.
I am not claiming that board members work tens of hours a week in the
board job - that would be a very unhealthy situation given that most
board members have a day job, a personal life, and are above that
doing non-board OSMF work too.
It's really the mundane and boring stuff we are mostly talking about
here. I remember that during your time on the board, there were
multiple occasions where even *scheduling* a board meeting required
multiple Doodle iterations and consumed much too much time for
something so trivial. You must remember that too, and there's hope
that things like this could be offloaded to an administrative assistant.
