My view is that this kind of decsion is within the normal purview of board responsibilities. That of course would mean consultation with members and the community, and listen to and consider that feedback.

Agree that transparency is important and that some kind of reporting makes sense.
This is different from my notion of “accountability” as that implies evaluation and action in response. That’s going to be up to the board.
