Sure. I think the main issue right now is choosing the way to go with the high level design:

My first try (this pull request) is a very naive approach for the dynamic design variant and already I think it's becoming clear that it's too expensive to do this stuff on the fly. What's more, I've been contacted by a person who develops a nice tool (which generates human-readable descriptions of OSM data objects/changesets) which could feed stuff into the activity stream - this fits nicely with the static model.
@tomhughes Could you have a look at the above mentioned technical design notes of mine and voice your opinion on what would be better suited for the production environment?
