Unfortunately because you have replied to an email sent to the mailing list I have no idea who you are but I'm guessing maybe @jguthrie100?

If that is the case then I thought I had been quite positive about your contributions and most of them have now been merged haven't they? Certainly I found you one of the best new contributors we've had for a while and I was trying to encourage you.

As to the scale bar thing, half the problem there is the way the whole report is phrased - it pretty much comes out and says we must all be sort of idiots for not having done it already and that kind of attitude in a bug report is never going to get a good response. The reporter also has a certain amount of form for such behaviour which doesn't help.
