I would also agree with this renaming. I love "Microcosms", I think it's a great play on words. But only in English!

For many developers, it won't help understanding what the model represents, and so it's worth renaming it internally to Groups which is a lot more self-explanatory.

For translators, I would have no idea what they would choose for our UI - either they would have to keep the name as-is (i.e. illegible to non-latin readers), or transliterate it into non-latin alphabets (which would leave it as cryptic but readable) or they would have the challenge of coming up with their own language-specific play on words. So to avoid all that, I think it should be something like "Groups" in the UI too.

We have a history of this - OpenStreetBugs was incorporated into OSM a long time ago, and we changed both the internal and the user-facing terminology at that point too (to Notes).
