[Rebuild] A question about the redaction process

I know we would really like all those who are going to accept to do
so before the redaction process gets under way, but will users have
the option to do so afterwards?

If so, is there some sort of extra process which checks all items
they have touched to un-redact anything that has already been
redacted by the main process? And if the redaction process marked an
item as completely redacted (is this different from deleted?) would
it make it visible again, at the risk of duplications if it has
already been remapped?

These questions just came to me in the night when I woke and
couldn't get back to sleep, so hope they have already been
considered.
