Dear Colleagues and Friends,

We were very excited to receive an exceptionally high number of submissions
to this year's Academic Track - thank you to all those who have submitted
their work! As the number of high quality submissions was greater than the
number of time slots available, we decided to accept some of the abstracts
as full talks, some as lightning talks, and some as posters.
If you submitted an abstract to the track, you should have received an
email earlier today with our decision and further instructions (if
relevant). In case you did not receive it, please check your spam folder
and/or let us know.
We do ask that the authors of all abstracts accepted for an oral
presentation (full/lightning) will confirm their participation as soon as
possible, so we will be able to go ahead and publish the schedule for the
Track.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Florence or virtually during the
track and we encourage those of you who are not presenting to join us (Both
in-person and virtual tickets are still available at
https://2022.stateofthemap.org/tickets/)

Best wishes,
The Scientific Committee - Levente, Marco, Hao, Pengyuan, & Yair
