Yeah, I know that one can catch a water using flat surface on the 
desert, but a desert is not a "water source type" IMO. I've tried to not 
include every possible water form on Earth just becuse it could be used 
as a water source - just like I wouldn't mention railways when talking 
about foot paths, even if it's possible to go along the rail track...

waterway=water_point would be interesting type (amenity=water_point 
marine twin), but currently it has only 238 uses and that's something to 
be shown rather on specialized maps (like OpenSeaMap).

It was mentioned many times that we care about drinking water, however I 
think it's too narrow point of view - washing, watering the garden or 
using for the car engine cooling can be also important, especially in 
the outdoor.
