[Tagging] RFC: remove alphanumeric code visible in infoboxes at OSM Wiki linking to Wikidata

Maybe a stupid question:
who decided to add this Wikidata thing to the Wiki pages in the first
placce.
What was the decision process that led to doing it.
Any pointers to past discussions?
