I see this way more relaxed for amenity POIs (than, e.g., highways).
Many of these stations are built with specific users in mind (e.g.,
next to alpine huts on mountain bike routes). While the socket types
are indeed the more important tags I think there is good reason to tag
the "designated" vehicle types if they are known: Sometimes they are
known while the socket types and count is not. One could invent
specific tags for that but OTOH I don't see any disadvantages using the
common access tags apart from "but the wiki!111"
