Some things are here (traditionally) more complicated than expected.

The funny part is that I can also be also described in this way
and I actually investigated using Wikidata during one of contracts.
So while it is OK to suspect conflict of interests (it is one of
expected negatives when someone gets paid and some of
bias may be unconscious), but it applies also to me, see
say https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/Mateusz%20Konieczny/diary/397825
or my old GSoC grant.
(I am not getting paid at all for work on this proposal,
if anything I did parts of it during procrastinating from paid work,
it is also not related to any work that I ever did or plan to do)
I suspect that at most they really like Wikidata, I am not expecting
at all that they are paid for keeping this link there.
I think that it is better to drop this part of topic (said by person also
with a conflict of interest...)

Well, they have moderator rights on OSM Wiki, see
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Wiki:Administrators
So if page would be locked I would be unable to edit it, but
they would be able to :)
