intermittent=yes + description=potential long grass

By the book, intermittent is supposed to only be used for water:

although I don't know what it would do to rendering if included on a cycle
path?

What do people do for paths etc in those areas that are affected by snow?
We don't have that problem, but it will no longer be a footpath if it's
under 3m of snow!
