Hi all,

OSGeo Oceania has allocated $2,500 AUD funding specifically for
OpenStreetMap related initiatives. An OSM focused group was established to
help determine the distribution of this funding.

I'd like to bump this conversation to get some ideas on what kind of
initiatives you'd like to see supported. The charter covers the scope
<https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VCiKCEpSvqaSuSYTZwAck9I5Li9dGchl/view?usp=sharing>
of initiatives that could be included. Practically speaking, some ideas
include:

   - Equipment for OSM related activities (GPS trackers, cameras, laptops)
   - Food for OSM related event
   - Funding for OSM related software development
   - Transportation to get to an OSM related event
   - Internet access for OSM related activities

*What ideas come to mind for you? Do you have any specific use cases for
OSM funding?*

The $2,500 AUD is an initial amount, but OSGeo Oceania wants to increase
this amount if it is being put to good use.

There are so many great people doing great OpenStreetMap related work in
Oceania. Let us know if funds are a bottleneck for you.

Thanks,

Ed
