Great minds think alike. Before I came across OSM, I had cycled from  
Sighthill to Glasgow along the canal, and want to do it again at some  
point.  It took me  6 or 8 hours. First though I want to do the  
National Cycle Route 75, unfortunately I don't yet have a GPS unit.

The Yahoo imagary works fine for the Edinburgh area. I've done parts  
of it using the Java Applet. I'm having issues with JOSM as I just  
get a 400 error when I try to get data. I think the GPS data would be  
more accurate or easier to work with though.
