Funding for projects is what decides...plus the OS have other
benefits-in-kind like Geovation

media coverage that is hard to compete with. Question is, whether OSMUK
should be competing, and how?  Daniel Raven-Ellison has been around the
geography/Open Data scene for years so must be well-versed in OpenStreetMap.
