Yep. What Simon said.
OSMUK is registered as a UK Community Interest Company (CIC) which is
between a charity (that has to evidence 'charitable works' and follows
additional rules but pays less tax) and a company (that is answerable to
its shareholders). Being a CIC, we are a Limited company and pay tax on the
difference between money in (annual subs, grants, donations, etc.) and
money out, but are prevented from distributing money to shareholders as
dividends.
I believe that Rob was suggesting that, rather than being a charity.
