[Talk-GB] OSM leaving the UK?

I'm dubious that an asset lock would do all that some people hope for
anyway:

- Assets must not be transferred for less than "full consideration"; but,
if I understand it correctly, the book value of intellectual property is
the price paid for it - which in OSMF's case is £0.

- And if a company is a marionette with a rucksack, you don't need to empty
the rucksack if you have the strings in your hand (ie, you can leave the
assets in the CIC and still control them).

Much better imo would be to (continue to) build a culture where a takeover
of OSMF was unthinkable, and perhaps add federal voting as Germany did
post-war. (Frederik you'll know more I guess.)

I'm about to FOI the CIC regulator to ask which EU entities she considers
"asset-locked bodies". I won't hold my breath for an answer but will let
the OSMF list know if I get one, especially as an asset lock was mentioned
by Guillaume. Just possibly there's more flexibility than would appear.

(By the by, I hope this is an appropriate use of the UK list: I didn't
start the thread, but I appreciate being able to discuss things here before
taking things to Talk-OSMF.)
