Thank you Þórir,
(I will also add a frequent bus stop mapper as CC, Helmut Neukirchen, who
I'm not sure if is subscribed to this mailinglist.)
Here is map with all the bus stops,
http://www.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html?webmap=3e6d45263edf40f9aaef710b21dfacc2&extent=-23.2697,63.6279,-20.1001,64.6156
and
OSM as a basemap. You can compare the data to existing stops if you zoom
in. About half of them have already been mapped. Please comment on the
accuracy of the coordinates. You can also switch the basemap to Bing Areal
map.
Should we:
1. scrap the existing bus stops and import the new data, (We could save a
few stops, e.g. stops around Hlemmur)
2. Import just the unmapped stops,
3. Import the new data but try to keep the coordinates of existing stops?
I think it would be valuable to try to import everything because the unique
identifier of each stop, BUSFASTNR, makes it easy to update the data if we
will receive more data from Strætó bs. in the future.
